Carrie – Psychoeducator

Searidge Drug Rehab

Carrie Lynn is our facilitator for educational group sessions on substance abuse issues. Her primary area of expertise is coping mechanisms. She works with our residents in both group and individual settings and assists them in developing coping skills they will take with them into a lifelong recovery.

Carrie Lynn is compassionate, supportive and genuine, and her primary focus is the well being of the residents. The holistic drug addiction treatment program at Searidge allows Carrie to apply her academic experience and holistic approach to her work at Searidge Drug Rehab. Our residents value Carrie for her easy going nature and sense of humour.

Professional Experience

In the past Carrie has worked with Annapolis Valley Health and Addiction Services, included Detox, developing treatment programs and working with youth. Her duties included recovery planning, conducting intakes, crisis and suicide intervention, and individual counselling. She has also facilitated group sessions on addiction, gambling, conflict resolution, relapse prevention and how to cope with triggers and emotions.

Interests

Carrie enjoys nature walks, hiking, gardening and other outdoor activities in the area around Annapolis Valley.  Most of all, she loves to spend quality time with her family.
