Carrie – Health and Wellness Counsellor

Searidge Drug Rehab

Carrie provides our residents with health and wellness counseling as well as information on fitness. Every incoming resident will meet with her for a wellness intake assessment and will spend time with her during group therapy sessions and leads a yoga or fitness activity 5 mornings a week.

Professional Experience

Carrie Schell has been providing care as a licensed primary car midwife for the past twenty years. Her Masters degree in Health Services Administration enhances her capabilities as a health care provider. In commitment to a greater holistic approach to health and wellness, Carrie completed Personal Trainer Specialist and Older Adult Fitness Instructor certifications in order to broaden her knowledge and skills.

Carrie applies her knowledge to the creation and implementation of Searidge’s Mind Body Spirit program and guides residents through yoga, meditation, group sessions, and individualised exercise and wellness plans and physical assessments. Carrie finds her work at Searidge Drug Rehab to be very rewarding and come naturally with her experience in the primary health care field.


Carrie enjoys fitness, swimming, hiking, riding, cooking and spending time with her family.  She is Executive Race Director of the Bridgetown Triathlon, the largest triathlon in Atlantic Canada, in her spare time.
